Just south of Tataouine, on the road to Chenini and Douiret, this hilltop ksar has been partly restored. Its ghorfas and courtyards give a clear idea of how these granaries worked.
- History
- Built by the Ouled Debbab tribe to store their harvests and protect them from raids.
- Customs
- Easy to reach by car: a good first ksar before the more remote ones.
- Food
- A tea in the courtyard.
- Best time
- October to April.
Some ghorfas have been turned into craft shops and rooms for visitors.
