Camping El Kahena, Ellouza

A campsite and residence on the coast at Ellouza, near Jebiniana, about thirty minutes north of Sfax. Pitches close to a quiet beach, far from the hotel areas, and a good base for El Jem and the Kerkennah ferry.

History

The coast between Sfax and Mahdia is lined with fishing villages and olive groves.

The campsite is named after the Kahena, the Berber queen who resisted the Arab armies in the 7th century.
