At the end of Cap Farina, past Ghar El Melh, a white beach runs below a cliff where a small shrine is built into the rock. Straw huts are rented for the day in summer.
- History
- The cape closes the bay of Utica, whose ancient port has long since silted up into the plain.
- Customs
- The shrine is still visited: dress modestly when you go up.
- Food
- Fish and grilled squid at the beach huts in summer.
- Best time
- June to September. Go on a weekday in August.
The shrine honours a holy man who, according to local tradition, lived as a hermit in a cave in the cliff.
