On the north coast between Sejnane and Tabarka, a lighthouse cape shelters a long sandy bay backed by hills of cork oak and myrtle. There are no hotels: just the beach, a river mouth and a few fishermen.
- History
- The black-and-white lighthouse has guided ships along this rocky coast since the French protectorate.
- Customs
- No facilities: bring water and food, and take your rubbish back. Wild camping is common in summer.
- Food
- Buy bread and cheese in Sejnane on the way.
- Best time
- June to September for swimming. The sea can be rough.
On clear days you can see the island of La Galite, about 60 km offshore.
